The Evolution of Our App, Party Hunt — V1 to V6

When I think about Party Hunt’s journey, I don’t see it as just an app update log. Each version is a snapshot of where we were, what we got right, what we completely messed up, and what we learned the hard way.

Here’s how I would like to unfold it:

2018, V1: The MVP

I built the first version of Party Hunt alone. It was as raw as it gets. A basic listing of events. No frills, no fancy UI, just a simple way to answer: “Where’s the party tonight?”

Looking back, it wasn’t scalable, but it proved something crucial: people wanted a single place to discover nightlife.

2019, V2: Map View & First Revenue

With V2, we added a map view.

Suddenly, nightlife discovery felt real-time and alive. You could see what was happening around you, not just read about it.

This was also when we unlocked B2B revenue.

Venues and promoters started paying to get visibility. That validation told us: we weren’t just solving FOMO, we were building an ecosystem.

2020, V3: Brand Vision + B2C Experiments

We started thinking bigger. Party Hunt couldn’t just be an event directory — it had to become a brand.

We explored B2C revenue models (like passes and subscriptions).

Some experiments failed, but the vision was clear: Party Hunt should be more than an app, it should be a culture, a community of musicians, party hunters, event hoppers and nightlife enthusiasts.

2020–2022: The Covid Pause

Then the world shut down. Parties disappeared overnight. For two years, our app had no real use-case.

But that “pause” gave me time to reflect.

We didn’t die during Covid. We waited. And that resilience became part of Party Hunt’s DNA.

2023, V4: The Revamp

By 2023, we raised funding, built a team that collaborated with me.

This was the biggest shift. Until then, Party Hunt was my solo hustle; now it became a collective vision.

We redesigned the app, tightened the UX, and started thinking about scale. It was less about “hacky survival” and more about building a product people loved to use every weekend.

2024, V5: Ticketing Arrives

This was the year Party Hunt became a serious player.

We introduced ticketing! Not just helping people discover events, but actually enabling them to get in.

That closed the loop: discovery → decision → entry.

2025, V6: Going Pan-India

This year is our boldest leap yet.

We’re taking Party Hunt pan-India. From Goa beach raves to Delhi warehouse parties to Bangalore rooftops, one app, one community, one culture.

The pan-India move makes us enabled to operate upto 20+ prime cities in India i.e. Goa, Himachal, Pune & Pimpri, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Surat, Lucknow, Chandigarh and Nashik.

What This Journey Taught Me

Every version taught us something:

  • Start scrappy, but validate fast.
  • Listen to users, but don’t lose your vision.
  • Survive the pauses, because they’ll come.
  • Build a team that shares the obsession.

The Evolution of Our App, Party Hunt — V1 to V6

From a lonely MVP in 2018 to a nationwide platform in 2025, Party Hunt has grown with every mistake, every party, every user.

And the truth is, we’re just getting started.

👉 Try the app this weekend.
It was made for nights like these.
